Screen Printing vs. DTG vs. DTF

Screen printing commonly fits repeat designs and larger quantities, DTG fits detailed short-run artwork on compatible garments, and DTF offers flexible full-color transfers across many garment types. The best choice still depends on fabric, artwork, quantity, placement, feel, and deadline.

Screen printing: Choose screen printing when durable spot-color artwork, repeatability, and production quantities matter. Every ink color requires preparation, so artwork and run size affect efficiency.

Direct to garment (DTG): Choose DTG for detailed, full-color artwork and shorter runs on garments compatible with the pretreatment and printing process.

Direct to film (DTF): Choose DTF when full-color artwork needs to transfer across a broader range of garment materials or quantities. The applied transfer has a different feel from ink printed directly into or onto the garment.
